Go Fast Camper v2 Full Year Review
I can’t believe its been a full year since driving up to Montana to pick up the Camper for my 2012 Nissan Frontier SL! This has been one of the best upgrades we’ve done and has opened the door to a lot more adventures around the US, Mexico and Canada!
Cons:
- Not Weatherproof
- Prone to Wind noise due to the camper hanging over the cab
- Lower MPG
- Forced to remove the Frontier Racks over the cab and Truck bed Utilitrac Rails
- GFC Accessories are expensive
- GFC Tent Issues (storage, window clips suck, bug screens backwards, not a lot of bedding storage within tent, not as wide as our Roof Top Tent, no rain fly, forma-floors)
Pros
- Easy setup and Take down
- Lockable side panels and easy access to gear
- Ability to continue doing TRUCK things
- Different bed configurations (single vs double)
- Frontier friendly! One of the few campers that fit on the Frontier
- Affordable – I paid 7k for the entire unit in 2021 and when you add up the cost of a good wedge tent and a truck cap that can handle of the weight of a Roof top tent you are already looking at close to 6k for the cap and tent. The added bonus here is that the tent and cap are all connected so you can turn the bed into a living space! Which leads me to my next point…
- Truck Bed Living room! For when the weather is crap outside or if you want to hangout indoors
